Thank you so much for proving my point about how Nova Scotians behave; this “go back where you come from” attitude and this defensiveness, blame-shifting rather than saying, “Okay, so how do we make Nova Scotia a GENUINELY better place for doctors to want to stay?” And I never said BC is perfect — but I’ve lived in both places, worked in both places, and it is so much better. And as a fellow physician who left NS for BC told me, “If you can afford to live in BC, there is absolutely no reason to suffer through life in NS.” Newsflash: Doctors can afford to live in BC. If Nova Scotians want to keep their doctors, they’ll have to start treating them better.
